Matilda Black Prince SU — Being under HP at tier 5 is a big problem as many people are running around with derp guns, and the SU with a view range of will face down invisible tank after invisible tank. Offensively the tank is fine, but carrying is out of the question due to that view range.

Puma S1 upgrade, a bit clearer image. It has been confirmed by a Czech website that the Puma’s turret is indeed certified to work with 35 x mm guns. I’d say the overall result could be considered quite decent, given that the M60 pre-A1 and M48 had thicker armor, but a much higher vulnerability vs mm AP rounds. The Leopard 1A3 clearly had a smaller protected arc and therefore was arguably still more vulnerable overall, depending on how threats from different angles were weighed. Honestly that seems to be too much, but maybe that is related to the US Army using the softest steel on their tanks – or maybe Germany and the US were using different types of mm ammo as reference?
I find hard to understand the logic behind this armor

IV – Sheperd Paine Tribute Diorama One of the big kicks I get out of modeling these days is purchasing old kits I remember building as a kid and experiencing them again. It’s a fun way to relive a great childhood. I built dioramas as a kid too and anyone about my age remembers the “Tips on Building Dioramas” sheets that came with some of the Monogram kits back in the ‘s.
These sheets contained text and photographs of works done by master modeler Sheperd Paine. They were were inspiring to me as a young modeler and showed me what was possible with the very kit I had just purchased.
May 06, · The 7,5er had a hard time on the Pzkpfw IV chassis on the Jgdpz IV leading to similar damages on the torsionbars at the front. There is no technical way an would be work on a StuG III. A StuG 88 would break down after few : For the Record.
But I am quite confident none of them are best in class, so it will not affect the verdict. I am a bit strange, I guess, because I really enjoyed the KV It is a nightmare when it is bottom tier, but when it is top tier in a city map it can be a monster. So in my personal opinion the KV-3 is the Russian candidate. But was the KV-3 good enough to keep? No, I sold it once I unlocked the KV

Jan 01, · StuG IV is better in almost every way. Even the poor view range is the same. Toss on an experienced crew, binoculars, and a rammer + vents and you have something that plays almost exactly like the StuG III but makes bank and is often better.
It was built on the chassis of the proven Panzer III tank. Initially intended as a mobile, armored light gun for infantry support, the StuG was continually modified and widely employed as a tank-destroyer. The artillery of the time was heavy and not mobile enough to keep up with the advancing infantry to destroy bunkers, pillboxes, and other minor obstacles with direct-fire.
Although the problem was well-known in the German army, it was General Erich von Manstein, who is considered the father of the Sturmartillerie, that saw the solution. On June 15, , Daimler-Benz AG received an order to develop an armored infantry-support vehicle capable of mounting a 75 mm 2. The height of the vehicle was not to exceed that of the average man. Daimler-Benz AG used the chassis and running gear of its recently designed Pz.
III medium tank as a basis for the new vehicle. Prototype manufacture was passed over to Alkett, which produced five examples in of the experimental 0-series StuG based upon the Pz. The Panzer arm, who was the natural user of tracked fighting vehicles, had no resources to spare for the formation of StuG units, and neither did the infantry branch. It was agreed, after a discussion, it would best be employed as part of the artillery arm.

Helping you understand the War Thunder Matchmaker Hi Guys, Recently, we have noticed that there seems to be a complete lack of understanding when it comes to the War Thunder matchmaking. As WickedestCard said, you’ll want to try out the tank destroyer line of the SU-series. Tank destroyers of any nation are generally the most specialized towards sitting back and “sniping”. The Soviet TDs are mostly concentrating on short large-caliber howitzer guns, though.

Somua SAu 40 Alecto To choose one from these is actually very difficult. They are all good, or at least not bad. The Somua gets a lot of criticism, but when I played it, I did quite well. The T40 was the one I did worst in. But they are all quite different to play: The Hetzer has got a derp gun, which is quite fun.

This set is not very detailed and i would consider it a beginner set after having assembled it, two of them actually stupid me. I really like to look of the Stug with side skirts which is way i bought this because Dragon doesn’t make a Stug IV with schurzen, i suppose it would be possible to buy some PE side skirts, but i didn’t think of that at the time Of course i forgot to get some pictures of the Stugs assembled, but here are some of them after priming and basecoat of sand.
I’ve also taken some pictures to compare to my Dragon Stug IV. Here you can see some of the differences of the two kits, the Dragon kit is clearly alot more detailed, actually i can’t come up with a single thing where the Revell kit is better, except for the side skirts. For wargaming i suppose the Stug from Revell would be sufficient but i surely wouldn’t use it for display unless it was heavily modified with PE parts and other stuff.

These new prototypes were the start of the usage of the Schachtellaufwerk wheel arrangements, but these also never passed prototype stages and were both cancelled in During the development of the prototypes above, the German invasion of France showed that the Allied tanks such as the Somua, Char B1, and Matilda II were impervious to their current anti-tank weaponry and a need for better armoured and armed tanks were emphasized. So on May 26, , Henschel and Porsche were asked to submit designs for a 45 ton heavy tank that was to be ready for demonstration by June During their development in June , Germany initiated Operation Barbarossa against the Soviet Union and was shocked by appearance of the T and KV-1 tanks that were invulnerable to all but the most potent anti-tank weapon in German inventory, one of which was the 88 mm FlaK cannon.
The potency of the 88 mm cannon against the heavily armoured tanks that the Germans faced had Hitler ordered that the heavy tank design undertaken by Henschel and Porsche to utilize the 88 mm as its main armament instead of a 75 mm cannon. The designs of the tank was finalized and ready for demonstration on April 20, , Hitler’s birthday, and showed the VK The demonstration and subsequent evaluations on the two designs determined that the Henschel variant was superior to the Porsche variant, proving more reliable, more mobile, and more easily produced than the Porsche.
This caused the Henschel variant to be adopted as the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger and production started in August The Porsche variant had many chassis produced as Ferdinand Porsche thought the design would win, so the chassis were instead used in the Ferdinand tank destroyer. Design What perhaps made the Tiger I so unique in tank development and German doctrine is a change of focus between the three characteristics of the tank; with more emphasis to firepower and armour than to mobility.
The Tiger I contained the large 88 mm KwK 36 cannon which was very accurate and powerful, being able to penetrate every Allied armour present at its introduction.
Think about what you’d like to do with the bike. Will it be strictly for exercise and recreation? Would carbon MTB frame you like to get into racing? If you are shopping for your first bike and don’t know exactly what sort of biking activity you’ll enjoy most, it’s best to get a versatile bike, such as a hybrid, that is suited for a number of different kinds of riding. Remember though, while hybrids are good for 26 wheel mountain bike general use, their middle-of-the-road design means they won’t be as well-suited for any one purpose as a bike designed specifically for that type of riding.
For instance, hybrid wheels are apt to warp if subjected to the rigors of the trail.
Oct 06, · I bought back the Stug III, just to use a cool Stug IV mod, only to find out MM almost always put me against much more powerful tanks, i’m going to buy back my Jagdpanther, that was a fun tank. Last edited: Oct 5,
Designed to supplement the StuG III already in service, the StuG IV was deployed in infantry divisions alongside soldiers to provide support fire and anti-tank capabilities. However, that simplifies things, somewhat, as the story behind the StuG IV is somewhat more chaotic. The Krupp company was, at the time, responsible for producing the Panzer IV and by , was producing the Ausf. G version slowly entering service on the Eastern Front. In , a merging of the Stug III superstructure slightly lengthened set upon the Panzer IV chassis was proposed, but it was dropped as being too heavy.
G compared to the Panzer IV. However, this long gun was very scarce, and supply problems let to the first models mounting the 7. It emerged as cheaper and easier to manufacture than the Jagdpanzer IV and Krupp was given the green light after a demonstration to Hitler on December The production of the StuG IV started immediately.

Goes insanely fast in a straight line due to unbelievable acceleration power, but it has trouble turning. It’s basically a weird moving polyhedron, so it can bounce a lot of machine gun fire and the odd cannon shot, but it isn’t as bouncy as the T Do not reward Wargaming for that kind of behavior. It isn’t particularly overpowered compared to a tank you can get for gold, so don’t pay an exorbitant amount for it.
It went on sale for a few days, and allegedly was so overpowered they pulled it from the premium store.
As I noted when the first DML StuG IV kit was released, it would seem a step backwards to create a self-propelled cm gun using the Pzkw. IV chassis; after all, this same gun was already available in an all-around traverse turret on the same chassis and would seemingly be a better idea. But the.
I will be going over its history, stats, and how it would compare to other tanks of its class and tier. This tank is in no way confirmed to be introduced, this is merely a historical overview and a fan proposal. This post is dated as of patch 0. This article uses third-party sources for its information. While I have no reason to doubt the credibility of these sources, it’s possible their information is not completely accurate.
That said, I try to use numerous sources so I can cross-reference them and curb misinformation. Notice the pistol ports on the sides of the tank, which would be absent on the production Jagdpanther. The StuG Panther would have looked remarkably similar to this early prototype [1; pg. Click the image for a larger view Short Summary: This early vehicle was based on the early VK The historical articles are a side effect of this effort, as part of my resource gathering so these tanks I propose are as historically accurate as possible, and to a further extent offer better representations of tanks already in the game.
This tank was the first conceptual design of what would become the Jagdpanther. The vehicle was initially designed to fire at fixed fortifications, but it was soon thereafter shown to be outdated. Sometime in late , the Pz.
